Requirements

To qualify for these positions, candidates must meet the following criteria:

• Education: Grade 10 or an equivalent qualification recognized by SAQA.
• Skills and Competencies:
  • Basic literacy and numeracy (ability to read and write).
  • Knowledge of cleaning products, materials, and equipment.
  • Ability to operate cleaning equipment.
  • Understanding of Batho Pele Principles and health and safety measures.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and in a team.
  • Client-focused and responsive.
  • Capability to perform manual work.
  • Commitment, loyalty, punctuality, and productivity.
  • Good behavior towards customers.
  • Knowledge of working procedures in the relevant environment.

Duties

Successful candidates will be responsible for:

• Cleaning offices, storerooms, corridors, elevators, and boardrooms.
• Dusting and removing waste.
• Providing water during meetings and refilling aqua coolers.
• Washing walls and windows.
• Cleaning equipment, machinery, and general kitchen utensils.
• Scrubbing toilets and polishing office floors.
• Vacuum cleaning using a vacuum machine.
• Providing toilet paper in restrooms.
• Keeping and maintaining cleaning materials and equipment.
