Clover South Africa, in partnership with the YES (Youth Employment Service) Programme, invites unemployed South African youth to apply for the YES Learner (Industrial) Programme 2026. This programme provides 12 months of hands-on workplace experience across Clover’s Production, Primary Transport, and Secondary Distribution environments.

📌 Programme Overview

The YES Learner (Industrial) Programme is designed to:

  • Provide practical industrial, logistics, and warehouse experience

  • Develop skills in stock management, distribution systems, and administration

  • Improve youth employability through structured workplace exposure

  • Support national youth employment through the YES initiative

Learners will gain real-world exposure in production plants, warehouses, and distribution centres.

Placements are available at Clover branches including:

  • Roodepoort (Head Office)

  • Clayville

  • CDC Cape Town

  • Polokwane

  • Nelspruit

  • CDC KZN

  • Port Elizabeth / Gqeberha

  • Queensburgh

  • Atlas Distribution

  • Other national locations


🎓 Who Can Apply?

South African youth who:

  • Are between 18 and 33 years old

  • Have a Grade 12 / Matric qualification

  • Are currently unemployed

  • Have not previously participated in a learnership with another organisation

🧾 Duties & Responsibilities

Warehouse & Stock Management

  • Manage stock according to the Warehouse Management System (WMS)

  • Receive, store, locate, re-supply, and dispatch stock

  • Control stock while in holding and during movement

  • Oversee re-packing and maintain stock levels

  • Prevent stock shrinkage and losses

  • Compare weigh-bridge statistics versus claims


System & Inventory Control

  • Maintain warehouse systems (new products, discontinued items, updates)

  • Ensure stock is stored in correct locations

  • Link and set up scanners

  • Perform stock counts, cycle counts, and returns to suppliers


Administration & Documentation

  • Capture truck and driver documentation

  • Capture satellite and inter-branch reports

  • Print and control invoices and load sheets

  • Follow up on queries and report deviations

  • Close routes on ERMS


Engineering Stores Support

  • Receive, store, and issue stock parts

  • Capture stock orders into the system

  • Assist Stock Controllers when required

  • Process requisitions for direct part orders

  • Issue parts to artisans according to procedures


Housekeeping, Safety & Compliance

  • Conduct housekeeping duties

  • Adhere to safety, security, and GMP standards

  • Ensure secure handling and storage of stock

  • Promote a safe and productive warehouse environment


📅 Programme Duration

  • 12 months structured workplace experience

  • Part of the YES (Youth Employment Service) Programme
