Independent Correctional Centre Visitor

Contract: 36 months
Location: Van Rhynsdorp Correctional Centre
Salary: R89,046 per year plus 37% in lieu of benefits
Minimum Requirements:
- Grade 12/Senior Certificate
- Computer literacy and accuracy
- Recent nomination letter from a community organisation
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Knowledge of Batho Pele principles
- Driver’s licence is an advantage
- Preference may be given to nearby residents
Main Duties:
- Visit the correctional centre and interview inmates
- Receive, record and follow up on complaints
- Maintain case files and capture information
- Compile monthly and statistical reports
- Attend to enquiries and urgent matters
