Applications must be submitted online through the official Gauteng Nursing Intake portal.

Successful applicants will study towards a:
Diploma in Nursing
Training takes place at one of the Gauteng College of Nursing campuses:
- Ann Latsky Campus
- Chris Hani Baragwanath Campus
- SG Lourens Campus
- Bonalesedi Campus
Who Can Apply?
Applicants must:
- Be a South African citizen
- Be residing in Gauteng Province
- Meet the minimum admission requirements
- Apply online before the closing date
- Register a profile on the online application system first
Minimum Admission Requirements
Applicants must have one of the following qualifications:
- National Senior Certificate (Grade 12)
- Senior Certificate
- National Certificate (Vocational) Level 4
- Current Grade 12 learners may apply using their Grade 11 final results. Final admission will depend on Grade 12 results.
National Senior Certificate Requirements
You must have:
- APS Score of 27 or higher
- English Level 4
- Life Sciences Level 4
- Mathematics Level 4
OR
- Mathematical Literacy Level 5
Life Orientation counts as half when calculating APS.
Senior Certificate Requirements
Applicants must have:
- English HG D or SG C
- Biology HG D or SG C
- Mathematics HG D or SG C
- Minimum M Score of 17
Required Documents
Prepare clear scanned copies of:
- South African ID
- Grade 12 Certificate

- Grade 11 Final Results (Current Grade 12 learners)
OR
- National Certificate (Vocational)
OR
- Senior Certificate
Shortlisted candidates will later be asked to submit additional supporting documents during the selection process.
Selection Process
Shortlisted applicants will undergo:
- Psychometric Assessment
- Medical Examination
- Document Verification

Successful Candidates Will
Selected students will be expected to:
- Attend classes
- Complete practical hospital training
- Participate in Work Integrated Learning (WIL)
- Work shifts, weekends and public holidays when required
- Sign a training agreement with the Gauteng Department of Health
