Job Description

Are you an entrepreneurial leader ready to take full ownership of a retail store? As a Branch Manager, your primary role will be to strategically lead and optimize your store’s total operational performance. From driving daily sales and profitability to ensuring world-class customer service and visual merchandising, you will run your store like your own business.

Minimum Requirements

Applicants must have:

  • Matric certificate
  • 3 to 6 years of retail experience
  • Google Suite proficiency
  • Operational stock management skills
  • Solid understanding of retail and consumer finance operating systems, including SAP/SAS
  • Understanding of relevant legislation, including CPA, NCA and POPIA
  • Strong leadership and supervisory capabilities
  • Planning and organisational skills
  • Ability to cope with pressure
  • Entrepreneurial thinking

Key Responsibilities

  • Store Performance: Execute daily sales strategies, monitor budgets, manage store expenses, and analyze local sales trends to meet or exceed profitability goals.
  • Floor Leadership & Execution: Implement visual merchandising planograms, manage promotional campaigns, and conduct daily morning meetings, floorwalks, and checklists.
  • Team Empowerment: Recruit, develop, and retain store talent; conduct monthly 1-on-1 performance reviews, track digital training participation (Axonify), and cultivate a high-performance culture.
  • Risk & Admin Control: Manage in-store administration, including cash-ups and stock counts; manage stock loss/shrinkage and ensure health & safety standards are met.
  • Customer Service Champion: Resolve customer issues, review social/Google reviews and CRM reports daily, and inspire staff to deliver an exceptional in-store experience.
