We are seeking a highly skilled Business Development: Solutions Manager to support the Business Development function by leading the preparation, coordination, and submission of tenders and proposals. You will act as the connector between sales, operations, finance, and customers, ensuring the accurate delivery of pricing models, bids, and proposals that align with operational realities and client expectations.


Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree / Advanced Diploma in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain, Finance, or related field
  • Experience in tender management, pricing, and commercial modelling within logistics, transport, or supply chain
  • Strong numerical and analytical ability
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency
  • Experience working across the supply chain environment
  • Understanding of logistics operational processes
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Strong organizational and project management ability
  • Ability to manage multiple tenders under tight deadlines
  • Commercial awareness and strong financial accuracy
  • Problem-solving mindset and attention to detail

Duties & Responsibilities

1. Tender & Proposal Management (New and Renewals)

  • Coordinate the full tender lifecycle including document preparation, compliance, and submissions
  • Gather information from operations, finance, legal, and technical teams
  • Draft and align proposal content to client scope and service requirements
  • Highlight value propositions and service differentiators
  • Support bid presentations and client negotiations

2. Costing & Pricing

  • Build accurate cost models for transport, warehousing, and integrated logistics solutions
  • Validate resource and cost inputs with operations and finance teams
  • Produce competitive pricing structures aligned to tender requirements
  • Maintain pricing templates, databases, and cost assumptions

3. Solution Development

  • Design logistics solutions tailored to client needs
  • Validate feasibility, risks, and service levels with internal teams
  • Propose innovative and value-added service options

4. Market & Competitor Analysis

  • Evaluate competitor activity, pricing trends, and market conditions
  • Provide insights to improve pricing strategy and competitive positioning

5. Process Improvement

  • Enhance tender management workflows and costing accuracy
  • Implement best practices in commercial and bid management

6. Reporting & Documentation

  • Maintain records of tenders, proposals, and pricing models
  • Prepare reports on tender outcomes, win/loss insights, and cost trends
