Cleaner (POST NUMBER: TMS 24/2026) X4 Posts South African Police Service (SAPS) Section: Auxiliary Services Division: Technology Management Services Location: Head Office, Pretoria Salary: R144 024 per annum (Level 02)

Job Purpose To maintain a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene in and around SAPS premises, ensuring a safe, tidy, and professional working environment.

Minimum Requirements

• ABET Level 4 / Grade 9 / Standard 7 certificate (NQF Level 1)
• Proficiency in at least English and one other official language
• South African citizen
• Basic literacy, numeracy, and communication skills
• Ability to read and write
• Knowledge of handling cleaning detergents and Occupational Health and Safety protocols
• Willingness to work extended hours when necessary

Key Duties & Responsibilities

• Maintain high levels of hygiene in and around the workplace (inside and outside areas)
• Perform routine cleaning tasks: dusting, polishing furniture and floors, vacuuming carpets, mopping tile floors
• Remove refuse and empty bins regularly
• Clean bathrooms and kitchens thoroughly
• Safekeep and handle cleaning materials and equipment responsibly
• Load and unload goods as required
