Job Description

The National Department of Forestry, Fisheries and the Environment (DFFE) is recruiting 3 Housekeeping Executives for positions based in Pretoria and QwaQwa.

The positions offer a salary of R144 024 per annum. Applicants need Grade 9 or an ABET Level 2 Certificate, while experience in rendering cleaning services will be an added advantage.

Minimum Requirements

Applicants must have:

  • Grade 9 or ABET Level 2 Certificate
  • Experience in rendering cleaning services will be an added advantage
  • Understanding one of the official languages used in the Department
  • Ability to work individually and in a team

Duties

Successful candidates will be responsible for:

  • Provide cleaning service in the department
  • Cleaning of offices, boardrooms, kitchen, and passages
  • Clean the computer printer and cabinets
  • Provide support for meetings in the department
  • Washing cups and filling up water bottles
  • Removing waste and disposing of the main dustbin
  • Handling cleaning material
  • Using the cleaning material and equipment in a prescribed manner
  • Prepare tea and water for meetings
  • Removing and washing cups after the meeting
  • Maintain and update stock levels
  • Keep stock (cutlery, crockery, cleaning equipment, refill beverage) list and levels of cutlery and crockery
  • Receive and pack stock
  • Report faults, loss, and breakage of utensils/equipment
