About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting staff and equipment safely to various destinations while ensuring company vehicles remain clean, roadworthy, and compliant with all legal and safety requirements.

Minimum Requirements

Applicants must have:

• Grade 12 (National Senior Certificate)
• Minimum 3 years’ relevant driving experience
• Valid Code EB driver’s licence
• Ability to pass the Rand Water K53 driving test
• Valid Public Driving Permit (PrDP)

Knowledge Required

• Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) Act
• South African road traffic rules and regulations

Key Responsibilities

• Transporting staff and equipment safely
• Keeping company vehicles clean and roadworthy
• Planning transport schedules to ensure vehicle availability
• Completing transport schedules within the Mechanical Section
• Conducting daily vehicle inspections
• Reporting vehicle faults promptly
• Maintaining work standards and ensuring legal and safety compliance
• Handling petty cash responsibly
• Responding to customer transport requests
