Driver Netcare Akeso Clinic Job Type: Permanent

Role Summary The Driver is responsible for the Akeso Clinic’s patient transport, deliveries, collections, vehicle maintenance, and general administrative duties. The role requires providing an efficient and professional service at all times.

Key Roles and Responsibilities

Deliveries and Collections

• Collect Akeso Clinic’s post
• Deliver documents as per envelope instructions
• Take or collect visitors or patients from the airport/hotels/courses when requested

Vehicle Maintenance

• Ensure Akeso Clinic’s vehicles are taken to and collected from the relevant dealership for services
• Wash the pool vehicle and ensure it is clean at all times

Administrative Duties

• Complete required documentation for deliveries (obtain signatures)
• Complete fuel log book for business kilometres travelled
• Complete all reasonable duties requested by the Hospital Manager
• Complete all filing as required
• Fax correspondence to relevant parties within one hour
• Assist with any other administrative duties, including collection/delivery of repair items and marketing initiatives

Customer and Patient Service

• Build customer loyalty by managing work effectively
• Ensure excellent customer service at all times

Personal and Professional Development

• Assume responsibility for own personal and professional development
• Keep up to date with Akeso and Netcare’s evolving policies and procedures

Education

• Grade 12 or equivalent NQF Level 4 qualification
• Valid Code 8 Driver’s Licence
• Professional Driving Permit (PrDP)
• Registered with HPCSA
• BLA or BLS Qualification
• BAA (Basic Ambulance Assistance) Qualification

Experience

• Minimum one year’s experience as a driver
• Good general understanding of the province/geographic routes
• Good communication skills (written and verbal)
