Minimum Requirements
Qualifications
Applicants must possess:
- Grade 12 (Matric) Certificate or equivalent qualification at NQF Level 4 recognized by SAQA.
Added Advantage
The following qualification will serve as an added advantage:
- National Diploma in Archives, Records Management, Library Studies, Information Studies, or equivalent qualification at NQF Level 6 recognized by SAQA.
Computer Skills
Candidates should be computer literate and proficient in:
- Microsoft Word
- Microsoft Excel
- Microsoft PowerPoint
- General computer applications
Required Knowledge and Skills
Successful applicants should demonstrate:
- Strong computer literacy skills

- Knowledge of the Promotion of Access to Information Act (PAIA), Act 2 of 2000 (advantageous)
Key Duties and Responsibilities
As a Registry Clerk, your responsibilities will include:
- Opening and closing patient files
- Safekeeping of patient records according to Records Management Policy
- Retrieving and issuing patient files when required
- Archiving old patient files in accordance with records management procedures
- Identifying and merging duplicate patient files
- Implementing the Promotion of Access to Information Act (PAIA)
- Ensuring all patient files are filed numerically according to E-HIS requirements
- Ensuring all patient storage boxes are correctly numbered
