About the Role

The successful candidate will provide general support services within the department, including housekeeping, garden maintenance, loading and off-loading goods, and maintaining the department’s premises. The role also involves assisting with the movement of materials and ensuring the safe handling of equipment and tools.

• AET/ABET or Grade 10

Knowledge and Skills

Applicants should have:

• Sound and in-depth knowledge of providing housekeeping services

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Providing general worker services within the department
• Cutting and maintaining trees
• Maintaining the departmental yard
• Cleaning the exterior of buildings and surrounding areas
• Ensuring the proper handling of garden tools and products
• Loading and off-loading furniture, equipment, and other goods
• Moving materials from storage areas to designated workspaces
• Labelling and storing materials as instructed
• Performing general duties allocated by the supervisor
• Assisting with the operation of industrial trucks and electric hoists for loading and moving materials
