Minimum Requirements

Applicants must have:

  • Grade 12 with numerical skills
  • At least 3 months’ experience in a similar position in the FMCG industry

Job Purpose

The General Worker: Loader is responsible for loading and offloading bread on site.

Key Responsibilities

  • Load and offload bread according to the relevant SOP.
  • Follow the required loading and offloading sequence.
  • Count trays and ensure trays are correctly balanced in trucks.
  • Attend daily invocoms.
  • Ensure quality bread is loaded and offloaded.
  • Maintain correct stock rotation using FIFO.
  • Report loading and offloading matters to supervisors.
  • Follow company policies and procedures.

Skills & Competencies

Good communication, numerical ability, accuracy, attention to detail, teamwork, accountability, organisational understanding and a results-oriented approach are required.

Working Conditions

This is a 6-day position. Applicants must be prepared to work Saturdays, Sundays, public holidays and rotating shifts
