The is inviting suitably qualified candidates to apply for two Household Aid vacancies at Naval Base Durban. These permanent government support positions are ideal for candidates with an ABET qualification and no experience.

Household Aid Vacancy Details

Minimum Requirements

Applicants must have:

• ABET qualification

Experience

• No experience required

Added Advantage

• Experience in domestic cleaning and laundry services

Required Skills and Competencies

Candidates should possess:

• Basic communication skills in English
• Knowledge of domestic cleaning procedures
• Knowledge of laundry processes
• Basic Health and Safety knowledge
• Ability to operate cleaning equipment and machines
• Basic maintenance knowledge of cleaning machinery
• Basic literacy and numeracy
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Good interpersonal skills
• Physical fitness to perform cleaning duties

Duties and Responsibilities

Successful candidates will be responsible for:

• Cleaning single living quarters
• Cleaning communal bathrooms and ablution facilities
• Cleaning other communal areas
• Washing and ironing linen
• Laundry of clothing and other assigned items
• Maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards
