Job Summary

Studio 88 is seeking a detail-oriented and organized HR Clerk to join the Human Capital team.

The purpose of this role is to provide administrative support across key Human Capital functions, maintain employee records, coordinate onboarding activities, process employee information on Sage 300 People, and ensure the accurate and timely execution of HR processes.

The successful candidate will contribute to the efficient operation of the Human Capital Department by maintaining compliance with company policies, procedures, and legislative requirements.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience

Applicants must have:

  • Grade 12 (Matric)
  • Human Resources Certificate, Diploma, or relevant qualification will be advantageous
  • Minimum of 1 year’s relevant experience within an HR Administration or Human Resources Support environment
  • Experience working with Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS)
  • Experience maintaining employee records and Human Capital documentation
  • Basic understanding of the Basic Conditions of Employment Act (BCEA) and Labour Relations Act (LRA)
  • Previous experience within a retail environment will be advantageous

Responsibilities

  • Administer onboarding processes and ensure all new employee documentation is received, verified, and accurately processed.
  • Capture and maintain employee information on Sage 300 People.
  • Create, maintain, and update employee files, ensuring all documentation is accurate, complete, and securely stored.
  • Process employee changes, including personal information, banking details, transfers, promotions, and terminations.
  • Ensure all employee records are updated in line with business and legislative requirements.
  • Liaise with stores, Regional Managers, and various departments to obtain outstanding employee information and documentation.
  • Prepare and distribute monthly headcount reports and other Human Capital reports as required.
  • Assist with the administration and tracking of employee contracts, appointments, promotions, and other employment-related documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with Human Capital policies, procedures, and record-keeping standards.
  • Support audits by preparing and maintaining accurate employee records and documentation.
  • Respond to employee queries and provide professional administrative support to employees, stores, and management.
  • Ensure all Human Capital administration is completed within established deadlines and service level requirements.

Skills Required

  • Knowledge of Human Capital administration processes and employee record management
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office packages, particularly Excel, Outlook, and Word
  • Working knowledge of Sage 300 People
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong administrative and organisational skills
