About the In-Service Trainee Role SAB / AB InBev is offering a 12-month In-Service Trainee opportunity at Caledon Maltings for final-year students who need to complete their Work Integrated Learning (WIL) as part of their curriculum.

This programme gives you practical exposure to HR practices, people processes, and reporting within a busy maltings plant environment. You will support team effectiveness, safety, data analysis, continuous improvement, and cross-functional collaboration while gaining valuable industry experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Support People practices, processes, and reporting to drive plant performance
• Promote safety, accountability, and engagement in the workplace
• Ensure equipment and workplace readiness to support team effectiveness
• Generate insights through sample analysis and support decision-making
• Identify risks and non-conformances and implement corrective actions
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
• Build strong cross-functional relationships
• Demonstrate personal growth, learning agility, and ownership

Minimum Requirements

• Final-year student completing a HR or Business-related National Diploma qualification
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills (verbal & written)
• Ability to build relationships and work collaboratively
• Good administrative and organisational skills with attention to detail
• Basic proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• Problem-solving ability and sound judgment
• High level of integrity, confidentiality, and professionalism
• Strong learning agility, initiative, and ownership mindset
• Willingness to work in a plant/operational environment
