Job Description

Labourer (REF: SCM56/2026) X2 Posts South African Police Service (SAPS) Division: Supply Chain Management Sub-Division: Moveable Government Property – Miscellaneous Stock Management Section: Stationary Store and Replenishment Location: Silverton, Pretoria Salary: R144 024 per annum (Level 02)

Job Purpose To provide general labour support in the stationary store, including picking, packing, distributing, and conducting stocktaking of stock items to ensure efficient store operations.

Minimum Requirements

  • ABET Level 4 / Grade 9 / Standard 7 / NQF Level 1
  • Proficiency in at least English and one other official language
  • South African citizen
  • Basic literacy, numeracy, and communication skills
  • Ability to read and write
  • Ability to interact with officials professionally
  • Willingness to work extended hours when necessary

Key Duties & Responsibilities

  • Pick stock and account for stock
  • Pack stock onto racks and bins
  • Distribute bin allocation
  • Conduct stocktaking
