Programme Overview

This structured development programme is designed to develop discipline-specific mining skills through formal training, practical exposure, supervision, and competency assessments within operational mining environments.


Minimum Requirements

Applicants must have:

  • Grade 12 with:
    • Mathematics (NOT Mathematical Literacy)
    • English
  • Must be medically fit to work in the mining environment
  • Clear security screening record

Advantageous

  • Relevant experience in a related environment
  • Valid driver’s licence (if applicable)

Key Responsibilities

Learnership Training & Development

  • Participate in a formal mining development programme
  • Develop discipline-specific mining skills
  • Work within operational mining teams under supervision

Skills Development

  • Complete all modules within the required timeframe
  • Participate in regular competency and skills assessments
  • Demonstrate understanding of programme objectives and tasks

Workplace Exposure

  • Gain practical mining experience in different operational areas
  • Receive guidance and support from supervisors and mentors
