Programme Overview
Sibanye-Stillwater is inviting external applicants to apply for the Learnership 18.2 Learner Official Mining Programme.
This structured development programme is designed to develop discipline-specific mining skills through formal training, practical exposure, supervision, and competency assessments within operational mining environments.
Minimum Requirements
Applicants must have:
- Grade 12 with:
- Mathematics (NOT Mathematical Literacy)
- English
- Must be medically fit to work in the mining environment
- Clear security screening record
Advantageous
- Relevant experience in a related environment
- Valid driver’s licence (if applicable)
Key Responsibilities
Learnership Training & Development
- Participate in a formal mining development programme
- Develop discipline-specific mining skills
- Work within operational mining teams under supervision
Skills Development
- Complete all modules within the required timeframe
- Participate in regular competency and skills assessments
- Demonstrate understanding of programme objectives and tasks
Workplace Exposure
- Gain practical mining experience in different operational areas
- Receive guidance and support from supervisors and mentors
Recruitment Process
