Minimum Requirements
Applicants must have:
- Grade 12 or equivalent
- No experience required
- Computer literacy, including Microsoft Office
- Knowledge of switchboard systems and operations will be beneficial
- Experience in private healthcare or a similar environment will be beneficial
Main Purpose of the Job
To manage and coordinate all telephonic communication and systems within the hospital in a professional manner to ensure efficient and effective communication on behalf of Mediclinic.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will:
- Operate the hospital telephone system daily according to policy and procedure.
- Attend to calls timeously and professionally.
- Maintain patient confidentiality.
- Check the hospital alarm system daily and notify the relevant department in an emergency.
- Follow the Hospital Emergency Preparedness Process when required.
Required Job Skills and Knowledge

- Hospital disaster and emergency processes, procedures and policies
- Switchboard systems and operations
