Merchandiser Clover Department: Commercial Location: Matroosfontein, Western Cape Job Type: Permanent Reference: CLO260518-5 Number of Positions: 7

Job Purpose To service specific stores by maintaining stock levels, minimizing returns and claims, and applying effective merchandising standards to enhance product visibility and sales.

Minimum Requirements

• Grade 12
• Business English: Fluent
• Must reside in Cape Town (preference given to Western Cape candidates)
• Willing to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays

Key Responsibilities Stock Control & Ordering

• Apply correct stock control measures in-store and in back-up areas
• Control, minimize, and write up returns according to store work plan
• Avoid out-of-stock situations and report to AM if they occur
• Place accurate and timeous orders according to ordering tempo
• Ensure clean and neat products on the shelf
• Ensure proper crate and equipment control per company policy

Merchandising & Shelf Management

• Pack shelves according to Store Flow and basic merchandising rules
• Maintain the fridge properly at all times
• Maintain indicated shelf set per provided plans
• Maintain PI labels per product
• Put up and maintain point-of-sale material
• Exploit opportunities in-store to enhance product presence

Relationship Management

• Establish and maintain good business relationships with store management, AM, HO, customers, and fellow Merchandisers

Location Note Matroosfontein, Western Cape (Cape Town area). Preference for local residents. Public transport is available, but own transport is advantageous for shift work.
