Job Description

OUTsurance is recruiting an OUTsurance Broker in Stellenbosch, South Africa. This is a full-time Financial Advice Giving role focused on growing and developing a business insurance portfolio through personal and commercial lines sales.

The position requires Matric / National Senior Certificate, a valid Code B driver’s licence, reliable personal transport and 3 years of external face-to-face sales experience.

Minimum Requirements

Applicants must have:

  • Completed Matric or National Senior Certificate
  • 1 year of external sales experience in a face-to-face selling environment
  • Own reliable vehicle with uninterrupted access to the vehicle
  • Valid Code B driver’s licence
  • Experience in lead generation
  • Cold-calling experience
  • Relationship-management experience
  • Experience opening doors for new business

For candidates with previous experience as a FAIS representative, the following are non-negotiable:

  • FAIS credits / Full Insurance Qualifications, depending on DOFA
  • RE5, depending on DOFA

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will:

  • Grow and develop the business insurance portfolio
  • Build a book of short-term insurance business
  • Sell personal lines
  • Sell commercial lines
  • Prospect for new business
  • Canvas for new business sales
  • Develop customer relationships
