Pepkor Speciality is recruiting a P40 Shop Assistant Cashier in Selection Park, Gauteng. This part-time opportunity is suitable for candidates with Matric and experience in retail, cashier, sales or customer service environments.

• Contract: Part-Time (Ongoing)
• Work Schedule: As Needed
• Salary: TBC
• Start Date: ASAP

Minimum Requirements

Applicants must have:

• Matric
• Experience in Cashier, Retail, Sales, Customer Service, Store Assistant, Store Associate, Retail Sales Assistant, Retail Salesperson, Sales Assistant or Salesperson roles
• English
• Live within 15km of the job
• Clear criminal record

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will:

• Provide great customer service
• Process customer purchases accurately at the checkout
• Assist customers with product selection
• Handle customer enquiries and phone calls
• Maintain accurate customer records
• Replenish and organise stock
• Ensure prices and displays are correct
• Assist with receiving and putting away deliveries
• Keep the store clean and tidy
• Assist with stock checks
• Handle cash and card payments correctly
• Complete daily banking tasks
• Follow health and safety requirements
• Support stock-loss prevention and sales targets
