Job Description

Applications are invited for 3 Room Attendant positions within the Provincial Protected Areas Management Directorate.

The positions are available at Nylsvlei Nature Reserve and Masebe Nature Reserve, with a salary of R144,024 – R169,656 per annum (Level 02).

Applicants need an NQF Level 3 qualification (Grade 8 / ABET / AET certificate) or equivalent as recognised by SAQA.

Minimum Requirements

Applicants must have:

  • An NQF Level 3 qualification (Grade 8 / ABET / AET certificate) or equivalent as recognised by SAQA.
  • A housekeeping certificate will be an added advantage.
  • Physically fit.

Duties and Responsibilities

The successful candidates will be responsible for:

  • Cleaning tourism facilities.
  • Ensuring that guest rooms are thoroughly cleaned.
  • Emptying waste bins.
  • Ensuring rooms are properly prepared with clean linen.
  • Cleaning kitchens, crockery and cutlery.
  • Providing housekeeping services.
  • Removing, washing, ironing, packing and storing linen properly.
  • Ensuring guest supplies are provided and regularly cleaned.
  • Cleaning public areas.
  • Ensuring all tourist facilities and surroundings are always clean and ready for use by guests.
  • Always adhering to hospitality standards.
  • Ensuring records of stock and amenities are maintained.
