The is inviting suitably qualified candidates to apply for eight Cleaner vacancies within the Visible Policing Division. These government support opportunities are ideal for candidates with ABET Level 4 or Grade 9.

• Rapid Rail Police: Gauteng North & Limpopo, Silverton – 1 Post (Ref No: VP E35/2026)
• Rapid Rail Police: Retreat Corridor, Western Cape – 1 Post (Ref No: VP E36/2026)
• Rapid Rail Police: Bellville Corridor, Western Cape – 1 Post (Ref No: VP E37/2026)
• Veterinary Services, Roodeplaat – 2 Posts (Ref No: VP E38/2026)
• K9 and Mounted Services, Atteridgeville, Pretoria West – 1 Post (Ref No: VP E39/2026)

Minimum Requirements

Applicants must have:

• ABET Level 4 / Grade 9 / Standard 7 / NQF Level 1
• South African citizenship
• Be proficient in English and at least one other official language

Knowledge and Skills

Candidates should have:

• Knowledge of cleaning detergents
• Understanding of Occupational Health and Safety (OHS)
• Basic literacy and numeracy
• Basic communication skills
• Ability to read and write
• Ability to operate basic cleaning equipment
• Ability to work professionally with others
• Willingness to work extended hours when required

Duties and Responsibilities

Successful candidates will be responsible for:

• Cleaning SAPS offices and surrounding premises
• Dusting offices and work areas
• Polishing furniture and floors
• Vacuuming carpets and mopping floors
• Cleaning bathrooms and kitchens
• Removing refuse
• Maintaining hygiene standards
• Loading and unloading goods
• Washing state vehicles
• Cleaning kitchenware and utensils
• Safekeeping and maintaining cleaning equipment
