Ackermans is recruiting a Store Manager for its Clocolan store. This full-time retail management opportunity is suitable for candidates with Grade 12 and at least 2 years of retail experience, including supervisory or management experience.

Minimum Requirements

Applicants must have:

  • Grade 12 or equivalent
  • 2 years’ retail experience, including at least 1 year in a supervisory and/or management position
  • Strong merchandise management skills
  • Stock and cost control skills
  • Ability to maintain high store standards
  • Proven ability to influence and lead a team
  • Strong development orientation
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English, both written and verbal
  • Competence in a second official language – advantageous
  • Further qualifications related to retail/business – advantageous
  • Energetic and self-starting approach

Job Purpose

The purpose of the position is to optimise sales and exceed customer expectations through the implementation of the operations strategy and effective management of staff.
