Job Purpose To provide a storekeeping service within the hospital by receiving, storing, and issuing stock items according to established policies and procedures, ensuring accurate stock control and efficient supply to departments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Receive, inspect, and verify incoming stock against delivery notes
  • Store stock items safely and correctly in the designated areas
  • Issue stock to departments and maintain accurate records
  • Conduct regular stock counts and report discrepancies
  • Maintain cleanliness and order in the store room
  • Assist with inventory management and reorder levels
  • Ensure compliance with hospital policies, health & safety, and infection control standards

Minimum Requirements

  • Grade 12 / Matric Certificate
  • Relevant experience in a stores/warehouse environment (healthcare/hospital setting is advantageous)
  • Computer literacy (Microsoft Office)
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
