The is inviting suitably qualified candidates to apply for the Typist vacancy at the Western Cape Division of the High Court in Cape Town. This is an entry-level government court administration opportunity for candidates with Grade 12 and typing skills.

Duties and Responsibilities

Successful candidates will be responsible for:

Court Administration Support

  • Typing court orders and court documents
  • Typing appeals, reviews, memorandums, and reports
  • Typing witness statements and notices

Court Roll Administration

  • Compiling term rolls and weekly rolls
  • Maintaining court registers
  • Drafting court term rolls

Filing and Documentation

  • Sorting and distributing files
  • Managing incoming and outgoing court documentation
  • Submitting orders to relevant stakeholders
