About the VKB General Worker Position

The General Worker will assist with the daily operations of the mechanization department by maintaining tools, equipment, machinery and work areas.

The successful candidate will also support technicians and operators with loading, cleaning, repairs and other general manual tasks to help ensure efficient branch operations.

VKB General Worker Minimum Requirements

Applicants must meet the following requirements:

• Grade 12 or NQF4
• Able to perform hard manual labour
• Able to load and offload stock
• Responsible for keeping premises and buildings clean and in excellent condition
• Previous experience in a tractor workshop environment will be a definite advantage
• Ability to constantly add value to the function of the job

General Worker Duties and Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• General tidiness
• Cleaning duties
• Ad-hoc duties as assigned from time to time
• Assisting customers and suppliers with loading and offloading stock according to policies and procedures
• General housekeeping of premises and buildings
• Customer services
• Workshop-related duties, including assisting the workshop mechanic with tasks as required
• Assisting workshop mechanics and technicians with day-to-day repair and maintenance tasks
• Handing tools, parts and materials to mechanics during repair and assembly operations
