MCE Electric JHB is looking for a Warehouse Cleaner to maintain a clean, safe and hygienic warehouse environment. This is an entry-level warehouse opportunity for candidates with a National Senior Certificate or equivalent NQF Level 4 and relevant cleaning experience.

The successful candidate will perform routine cleaning duties while maintaining housekeeping, health and safety standards throughout the warehouse.

Minimum Requirements

• 3+ years cleaning experience in a warehouse, industrial, or commercial environment
• Basic understanding of health and safety practices
• Physically fit and able to perform manual tasks

Key Responsibilities

The Warehouse Cleaner will be responsible for:

• Cleaning warehouse floors, walkways, desks, restroom facilities and common areas daily
• Sweeping, mopping, vacuuming and removing dust, debris and waste
• Emptying bins and disposing of waste according to company procedures
• Maintaining cleanliness around loading bays, storage areas and entrances
• Keeping kitchen and bathroom areas neat, clean and free of debris
• Using and storing cleaning equipment and materials safely
• Reporting maintenance issues, spillages, hazards or damages to the supervisor
• Maintaining general housekeeping standards in accordance with safety regulations
• Refilling soap, toilet paper and other cleaning supplies where required
• Reporting low levels of cleaning materials to the line manager
• Checking that cleaning equipment is in proper working order and reporting breakages
• Notifying management of repairs required within the building
• Following all health and safety policies and procedures
