Limpopo Department of Health Opens EPWP Recruitment for 2026/2027
The Limpopo Department of Health has announced a major recruitment drive through the Expanded Public Works Programme (EPWP), offering more than 1,700 work opportunities across hospitals, clinics, nursing campuses, emergency medical services, and district offices throughout the province.
These opportunities are available until 31 March 2027 and provide unemployed South Africans with valuable workplace experience while earning a monthly stipend.

Available EPWP Positions
1. EPWP General Workers: Food Services (428 Posts)
This position involves assisting with food preparation, serving meals, cleaning food service areas, handling kitchen equipment, and supporting hospital food service units.
Minimum Requirements:
- Grade 12 (Matric)
- N6 Certificate in Catering and Hospitality Management
- Computer literacy
Monthly Stipend: R4,121.76
2. Infrastructure EPWP General Worker (3 Posts)
Successful candidates will assist with maintenance activities, repairs, and general infrastructure support.
Minimum Requirements:
- ABET qualification
- Infrastructure maintenance experience will be an advantage
- Exposure to hand tools and power tools
Monthly Stipend: R4,121.76
3. Water Softening Plant Operators (7 Posts)
These positions focus on operating and maintaining water softening systems and plumbing-related infrastructure at healthcare facilities.
Minimum Requirements:
- Grade 12
- Exposure to plumbing or water softening plant operations
- Relevant certificates will be advantageous
Monthly Stipend: R4,121.76
4. Asset Management Admin Clerks (82 Posts)
These positions involve maintaining asset registers, inventory management, record keeping, and asset verification.
Minimum Requirements:
- Grade 12
- N6 qualification in:
- Supply Chain Management
- Financial Management
- Logistics
- Purchasing Management
- Commerce
- Public Management
- Computer literacy
Monthly Stipend: R4,121.76
5. EPWP General Workers (1,244 Posts)
The largest category advertised, with placements at clinics, hospitals, nursing campuses, EMS services, and district offices.
Duties may include:
- Cleaning services
- Porter services
- Laundry assistance
- Mortuary assistance
- Ward attendant duties
- General facility support
Minimum Requirements:
- ABET qualification
- Hospital or patient care exposure will be advantageous
Monthly Stipend: R4,121.76

Positions are available throughout Limpopo including:
- Capricorn District
- Mopani District
- Sekhukhune District
- Vhembe District
- Waterberg District
Opportunities are available at numerous hospitals, clinics, nursing campuses, EMS facilities, and district offices.
