Application Process

Requirements
To apply for Mediclinic learnerships, you must meet the following minimum criteria:
- Academic Qualifications:
- A valid Grade 12 certificate (NQF Level 4) with admission to higher certificate or diploma studies.
- For the Higher Certificate in Nursing:
- Minimum 19 points (or 20 with Mathematical Literacy), excluding Life Orientation.
- Compulsory subjects: English and Mathematics/Mathematical Literacy.
- Recommended: Life Sciences (Biology) or Physical Science with minimum marks (e.g., HG symbol D or SG symbol C for Life Sciences; HG symbol E or SG symbol D for Mathematics).
- For the Diploma in Nursing:
- Additional Requirements:
- RPL Candidates: If you lack required subjects, you may apply via RPL but must pass the relevant RPL course and submit a motivational letter from your employer (if applicable). Only 10% of intake can be RPL candidates.
- Health and Commitment:
- Ability to undergo psychometric testing, health assessments, and interviews.
