Requirements:
- Educational Qualification: A qualification that allows registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) as a Nursing Assistant.
- Registration: Must be registered with the SANC as a Nursing Assistant.
- Experience:
- Grade 1: None required.
- Grade 2: Minimum of 10 years’ experience after registration as a Nursing Assistant.
- Grade 3: Minimum of 20 years’ experience after registration as a Nursing Assistant.
Duties:
- For NCDOH 137/2024:
- Provide elementary nursing care according to the scope of practice and standards.
- Implement basic patient care plans.
- Rotate through departments and perform night duty as needed.
- Maintain professional growth and ethical standards.
- Work as part of a multidisciplinary team to ensure quality care.
- For NCDOH 138/2024:
- Assist patients with activities of daily living and provide physical care.
- Provide elementary clinical nursing care.
- Effectively utilize resources and maintain professional growth and ethical standards.
