Job Title: Plant Operator

✅ Key Responsibilities
- Conduct safety checks and daily routine inspections; perform pre-start-ups.
- Operate plant machinery via PLCs; correct operational deviations.
- Complete handover log sheets accurately during shift changes.
- Perform analysis of water samples; report deviations.
- Carry out visual inspections, screening, weighing, and recording to meet specifications.
- Capture accurate production data in the system.
- Operate dosing stations and manage chemical supplies.
- Start up and shut down the RO (Reverse Osmosis) plant efficiently.
- Maintain high housekeeping standards in the plant.
- Perform first line maintenance; visual checks on equipment and plant.
- Ensure the correct storage of equipment and chemicals.
- Continuously evaluate plant operations for improvement.
- Carry out CIP (Clean-In-Place) on equipment to ensure plant efficiency.
- Monitor chemical stock levels and ensure accurate usage tracking.
- Be available for overtime or call-outs as needed.
🎯 Requirements
- Minimum qualification: Grade 12 / Matric.
- Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment is an advantage.
- Ability to concentrate for long periods (due to repetitive tasks).
- Ability to react quickly when operational issues arise.
- Flexibility to work in shifts.
- Compliance with Safety, Health and Environment (SHE) standards and quality governance policies.
