Minimum Requirements

Applicants must:

  • Be a South African citizen.
  • Be able to communicate in English and at least one other official South African language.
  • Possess ABET Level 4, Grade 9 (Standard 7), or an equivalent NQF Level 1 qualification recognised by SAQA.
  • Be able to produce documentary proof of qualifications when required.
  • Be willing to work extended hours when necessary.

Knowledge and Skills Required

Main Duties

Successful candidates will be responsible for:

  • Cleaning SAPS offices, buildings and surrounding premises.
  • Dusting furniture and office equipment.
  • Polishing furniture and floors.
  • Vacuuming carpets and mopping tiled floors.
  • Cleaning kitchens and bathrooms.
  • Removing refuse and maintaining cleanliness.
  • Washing kitchenware and utensils.
  • Washing and cleaning government vehicles.
  • Loading and unloading goods when required.
  • Performing basic maintenance duties.
  • Assisting with garden maintenance around SAPS premises.
  • Proper handling and safekeeping of cleaning materials and equipment.

Salary

Successful applicants will receive:

R144,024 per annum (Salary Level 2)
