Salary

R170 226 – R200 523 per annum

Approximate monthly salary:

• From R14,185 per month
• Up to R16,710 per month

Minimum Requirements

Applicants must have:

• Grade 10 or equivalent qualification recognised by SAQA
• Basic Security Officer Course registered with PSIRA
• Minimum 1 year security industry experience
• Valid driver’s license will be an added advantage

• Good verbal and written communication
• Interpersonal skills
• Public relations skills
• Ability to work under pressure
• Observation and security monitoring skills

Duties and Responsibilities

Successful candidates will be expected to:

Security and Access Control

• Monitor all access points
• Enforce access control procedures
• Assist with crowd control
• Prevent unauthorised removal of court property

CCTV and Surveillance

• Monitor movements using CCTV
• Review and save incident footage
• Monitor alarm systems
• Conduct patrols and building inspections

Security Coordination

• Liaise with outsourced security officials
• Attend meetings with SAPS, EMS, Fire Brigade and TMPD
• Support security during high-profile court matters
• Assist bomb squad sweeps before VIP visits

Biometric and Incident Management

• Manage biometric records
• Update occurrence books/registers
• Report incidents immediately
• Apply emergency procedures when required
