Requirements
Minimum Educational Qualification
- General Education and Training Certificate (GETC) / Grade 9 (Std 7)
Experience
- Appropriate experience in operating an electronic switchboard/PABX, messaging, and paging systems
Inherent Requirements
- Willingness to work shifts, including night shifts, weekends, and public holidays
- Availability to work overtime based on operational needs
- Physically able to hear and speak clearly
Competencies (Knowledge/Skills)
- Proficiency in operating an electronic switchboard
- Excellent listening skills and telephone etiquette
- Computer literacy in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Duties
- Handle all incoming and outgoing calls
- Manage switchboard operations, answer telephonic queries, and deliver messages
- Ensure switchboard and telephone equipment are in working order
- Operate PABX and VOIP systems
- Monitor, place, and record all cellular, national, and international calls
- Maintain records of speed dial numbers
- Send and receive calls via 2-way radio
- Broadcast staff and information via the broadcast system
- Report all faults to the Supervisor
