What Is This Bursary About?
The programme leads to a Further Education and Training Certificate in Road Traffic Law Enforcement and includes classroom learning and practical deployment.
Cadets will be trained in:
- Traffic law enforcement
- Road safety and policing
- Public passenger transport legislation
- Crime prevention support
- Administrative duties related to traffic services
Minimum Requirements
To qualify, applicants must have:
- Grade 12 / Matric certificate
- Valid Code B (Manual) Driverβs License
- Be physically fit
- No criminal record
- Be 35 years old or younger
- Be able to communicate in at least two official Western Cape languages
- Be willing to work shifts when required
Assessments Required

- Physical fitness test
- Driving assessment
