What Is This Bursary About?

The programme leads to a Further Education and Training Certificate in Road Traffic Law Enforcement and includes classroom learning and practical deployment.

Cadets will be trained in:

  • Traffic law enforcement
  • Road safety and policing
  • Public passenger transport legislation
  • Crime prevention support
  • Administrative duties related to traffic services

Minimum Requirements

To qualify, applicants must have:

  • Grade 12 / Matric certificate
  • Valid Code B (Manual) Driver’s License
  • Be physically fit
  • No criminal record
  • Be 35 years old or younger
  • Be able to communicate in at least two official Western Cape languages
  • Be willing to work shifts when required
