What You’ll Do

  • Take part in a structured learning programme for Plant Operator in Chemical Services, where you’ll rotate through operational tasks under supervision.
  • Assist in monitoring and controlling chemical treatment systems, water treatment processes, and other plant chemical services operations.
  • Follow prescribed safety, health, environmental and quality procedures, ensuring compliance with plant policies and protocols.
  • Work collaboratively with senior operators and technical teams to learn operational best practices, fault-finding, routine checks and maintenance.
  • Communicate and document operational performance, plant observations and training progress.

Minimum & Essential Requirements

  • Grade 12 (Matric) certificate with Mathematics ≥ 50%, Physical Science ≥ 50%, and English ≥ 40%; OR N3 Engineering Studies / NCV Level 4 with equivalent scores. (Requirement aligned with standard learnership criteria at Eskom
  • South African citizen.
  • Must not have previously participated or registered on a learnership programme with Eskom.
  • Strong communication skills, ability to work as part of a team, professionalism, integrity and a self-starter attitude.
